be still and know that I Am God.
the world pulls us in. it's chains link around us pushing us to fill our lives with business and constant movement. amongst all of this is a voice whispering...
be still and know that I Am God.
are you listening? i haven't been. and i haven't been still... it continues, getting louder and louder...
be STILL and know that I AM GOD!
we, just like the world, have made our lives complicated... and we have made God more complicated than He should be. yes, He is mysterious in many ways, but He tells exactly what we are supposed to know and remember about Him...
I AM GOD!
enough said.
so stop running. stop talking. stop making God complicated.
go be still and know that HE is GOD!
be still. be still. be still.

psalm 46 is way good, but i think the verse on stillness from exodus (14:14) is even more applicable for me, for me at least, as it expands on knowing God. it's reconirming how God knows US... highlighting how we have to do even LESS than being still!! imagine LESS than stillness. we don't even need to fight or know or do or yearn in the stillness. He'll do it ALL for us without a second thought.
